Discover The Orsaa EMF Bioeffects Database

The Australian ORSAA Database on Electromagnetic Bioeffects (ODEB) is the largest categorised database on this research area. It is very different from general databases like EMF Portal and PubMed. Its creators wanted to assemble all the literature on non-thermal bioeffects to look at trends and linkages to health.
It is easy to find all the “Effect” and “No Effect” studies for a particular subject area like “Brain Tumours”. Unlike other databases, ODEB categorises non-thermal biological effects of EMF interaction across animal, plant and microbial models as well as human subjects.
This is fully function-relational database and there is a learning curve for those who have not used databases before. The purpose of the webinar training is to show you the interface and the power of the searching capabilities. This a rich source of biological and health information at your fingertips that can be used by the general public and academic researchers alike.
The webinar will be presented by the database’s administrator, radiation health physicist Vic Leach, and its creator, ORSAA treasurer and information technology professional Steve WellerBSc (Biochemistry and Microbiology). Both are members of the Australasian Radiation Protection Society and have presented papers at its annual conferences. Steve was a public representative on the Electromagnetic Energy Reference Group (EMERG) committee at the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA). This important forum was disbanded in 2019 asARPANSA was unable or unwilling to act upon reports of evidence of harm presented by its public representatives.

Health Effects of Cellphone & Cell Tower Radiation: Implications for 5G

This presentation will summarize research on biologic and health effects from exposure to radio frequency radiation emitted by cell phones and cell towers. Learners will also discuss the implications of this research for 5G, the fifth generation of cellular technology. At the completion of this activity, the learner will be able to: – Describe what wireless or radio frequency (RF) radiation is, including 5G, and its relationship to ionizing radiation – Summarize the biologic and health effects caused by, or associated with, RF radiation exposure – Explain why current national and international RF radiation exposure limits fail to protect the health of humans and other species.

Ensuring business respect for human rights in the political and regulatory sphere and preventing “corporate capture”
Inputs should be sent to [email protected] with subject line “Survey inputs: corporate political engagement.”
Questions:
- How should “corporate capture” and its connection with human rights be defined? What distinguishes legitimate corporate political engagement from undue political influence by businesses which carries human rights risks?
