Product Description

Natto (納豆) - the ancient Japanese superfood

  • For over 1,000 years, natto (fermented soybeans) has been a Japanese staple and folk remedy.
  • In modern Japan, natto is a comfort food found everywhere, with benefits supported by a surprising level of nutritional and clinical science.
  • The best natural source of Vitamin K2, nattokinase, and probiotic B. subtilis
  • A nutritional powerhouse in general - high in protein and prebiotic fiber, low in fat and carbohydrates, and full of vitamins and minerals.
  • Unique flavor and texture - expect a rich, pungent, fermented flavor, and the texture that the Japanese call neba neba (slippery & sticky). Like a stinky cheese, natto isn’t for everyone - but those who like it, love it.
  • In Japan, natto is most typically mixed into rice, soy sauce or tare, and something sharp like mustard or scallions. However, we think natto is terrific as a versatile addition to a wide range of dishes – Japanese and Western, savory and sweet.

Choose NYrture New York Natto for the very best quality

  • Made by hand in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, by a trained microbiologist (and lifelong natto lover) and chef
  • Tastes better and is better for you because it’s made fresh by hand, and never frozen
  • Keeps longer in the refrigerator because of our unique glass jar
  • Vegan, gluten-free, GMO-free, and certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union

Tastes great and lowered my blood pressure to normal in one day!

Tastes great and lowered my blood pressure to normal in one day!
My 4 jars came in a little box that sits inside another box. The jars were still cool to the touch. This is my first time having natto so I can’t comment if this tastes better than other brands.Update one week later: I love it now! The turmeric is my favorite. I eat it twice a day. In the morning, I eat with oatmeal. In the evening, I eat with rice or whatever meal I’m having. It was great on my burger. I tried everything from vitamins, magnesium, hibiscus tea, etc to naturally lower my blood pressure. The morning after I had my first natto, my blood pressure was normal for the first time in a month after my physical.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious, never frozen, eco friendly packaging and Versatile Natto!
Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2019
The BEST Natto I ever had! I think think it’s less “funky” than the frozen ones in foam containers... it’s like a deep, concentrated flavor of soy sauce (without the sodium if that makes any sense). I enjoyed the variety pack and recommend the black Natto for people who might feel a little intimidated by trying Natto for the first time because its flavor is the most mild. It was the first time I had black bean Natto and I appreciate their effort in using something other than soybeans. Eat the black bean version within the first few days of opening, as they are still working on perfecting it. If you want perfect Natto and prefer to eat it sparingly at your own pace, you can’t go wrong with the original, organic or turmeric. If you were wondering how strong the turmeric is, I would say it is pretty mild and I love it as much as the original. My 3 kids 6 and under also love this Natto and our favorite way is to eat it is just with a drizzle of soy sauce- the most tasty and Unami flavor you will taste. I don’t mix it to make it more slimy— I love it just the way it is. I’ve had it with both Asian and non Asian dishes and it’s a great side of soybeans that go well with many savory dishes. Look up the benefits of eating Natto. My skin improved a lot. The best natural source of vitamin K you can get! Love, love, love!!! I only wish they made subscription shipments for regular customers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Natto in a jar
Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2021
Natto is growing on me. I started eating it recently. I got the variety pack to try new flavors. It is good. Arrived well packaged, with a thick ice pack. Not overly pungent and a nice subtle taste. Small beans. Good expiration dates. I feel like its a quality product that someone took care in creating.. Will buy again uploading a picture of how I eat my natto. With soy sauce, sprouts, green onions and sometimes a little mustard, on rice.
