September 18, 19: Stop 5G International, Global 5G Protest for Freedom, We Do Not Consent

On the weekend before Equinox, 18/19 September, people from across the world will be standing up to demand an immediate halt to 5G on Earth and in Space for the sake of Freedom for all. Their message: “We do not consent to a few powerful technology and satellites companies dictating the future of all life on Earth. Nor do we consent to living in a 5G-enabled surveillance state.” Events have been planned in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Spain, South-Africa, Canada, the US and India and will range from Demonstrations, Bridge Protests and Flash Mobs to Stands in the Park and Beach Events.

The 5G/satellite/internet of things/data/AI juggernaut entails the manufacturing, use, and disposal of thousands of satellites in space, millions of new transmitters on Earth, and trillions of IoT gadgets, devices, and “things” that together pose one of the greatest threats of all human-generated health and environmental crises. Though being marketed as a way to address climate change, the gargantuan global technology footprint is itself a major contributor to environmental devastation.

Moreover, 5G infrastructure on Earth and in Space will enable an inescapable Planetary Digital Surveillance Grid — a huge threat to personal freedom and autonomy.

5G and satellites also play an integral role in the weaponization and commercial use of space and will increase the lethality of war. Protesters oppose the use of trillions of dollars being poured into waging war and are calling for money to be spent on programs that address essential needs such as world hunger, pollution, the environment, and peace.

Whilst opposing wireless proliferation, 5G/satellite opponents support safe wired connections for most internet and telecommunications use, reserving wireless for emergencies and essential services not possible through wires.

Saturday, September 18th is the next 5G global day of protest.
We will gather at the north end of Queen’s Park, along with the global Rally for Freedom, for a peaceful day of awareness raising, connecting with our fellow concerned citizens and to join in solidarity with everyone around the world who will take a stand on that day to say NO to 5G.
Speeches for the Freedom Rally start at noon followed by a march through downtown Toronto at 1:30. Upon arrival, look out for the signs that mention 5G.

Washington DC, USA A big 6G symposium is planned for Tuesday and Wednesday September 21/22nd. There will be 50 speakers from industry, universities and governments. The symposium is being sponsored by 6GWorld in partnership with InterDigital; the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things at Northeastern University; and the Next G Alliance.
