5G EARTH DAY, OTARD’s Trojan Horse; Bribe Neighbors to Radiate Neighbors!
As we count down to Earth Day April 22, 2021, policy makers are racing ahead with 5G and telecommunications infrastructure and regulatory plans, attributed to the need to address the dual challenges of climate and covid, nationally and internationally. We’ve been looking at the ironies and inconsistencies surrounding claims of sustainability and safety of 5G telecommunications.
It appears that many of the “conspiracies” attributed to 5G opponents are mischaracterizations and fabrications. In some circles, surveillance and behavior modification capacities of 5G is the most significant issue.[i] Many are concerned about the impacts on property values from “small cells”( which turn out not to be small); towers, antennas, and repeaters.[ii]

Other groups are alarmed about human rights abuses, especially for health-vulnerable populations. [iii] Some are concerned about the lack of ethics of an industry that relies on mercenary scientists,[iv] corrupt university spokespersons and marketing interns, censorship and ridicule, and captured agencies. [v] Some are comparing the alarming and abusive centralization and concentration of power and use of force to other disastrous chapters in human history.
The recent OTARD ruling in the United States[vi] is a policy that exploits neighbors and neighborhoods. Data mining provides utilities with private personal data about residences where financial challenges are evident, or where a neighbor might be predisposed to putting a small cell next to a neighbor they don’t like. The OTARD ruling allows the utility to take advantage of these factors in order to blanket communities with 5G signals.
Using something like the drug dealer model (try a little for free, become an addict, them become a distributor for my drug dealing network), internet providers have reportedly begun going door to door asking customers to allow them to mount a small cell on their rooftop in exchange to free wifi.
There is an alternative to replicating the drug dealer model, and it is very simple, sourced from the wisdom of Fred Rogers, of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. “In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.”
Regarding what is sometimes referred to as the wireless ecosystem, few decision makers are listening to the crucial questions. If they were, we would not be where we are today with 5G.
Here are 3 resources that informed neighbors can utilize to help neighborhoods not fall prey to a form of predatory consumerism that takes advantage of vulnerable consumers, in order to impose an environmental toxin on communities. Engaged neighborhoods can prevent the industry from pitting neighbor against neighbor, on the basis in adequate regulatory protection.

2 – Inform Your Neighbors 5G Crisis, A Project of Americans for Responsible Technology, offers a many resources on their toolkit page, [vii] including a neighborhood letter about OTARD.
3 – Take advantage of neighborhood networks, like Patch and NextDoor. For example: Recently posted in Tuscon, AZ: Community-wide alert! New 5G antennas to be installed on the roofs of private homes. The FCC just issued new rules–effective March 29–governing the installation of 5G wireless antennas on private property in Tucson and Phoenix. New rooftop antennas will transmit radiofrequency radiation at ultrahigh frequencies we haven’t been exposed to before (60 GHz and 70 to 80 GHz). These new OTARD rules (Over-the-Air Reception Devices), hold that installation of these antennas does not require a local government permit or neighborhood notification–and will preempt Arizona and Tucson municipal ordinances and even homeowner’s association rules.
Most disturbingly, disability civil rights laws that protect the disabled and their rights for accommodation are also preempted. The adults and children who have become sick or whose condition is aggravated by exposure to wireless radiation will not be able to get accommodation, even in their homes. When the OTARD rule goes into effect, nowhere will be safe, not even rural areas, and there will be no refuge.
Be alerted! A company that is selling OTARD compliant antennas is deploying a sales force throughout Tucson and Phoenix to contact homeowners about serving as “seed” homes for their neighborhood. These seed homes will have a radio transmitter on their roofs in exchange for free wireless internet services. In April, these sales people will be going door to door to sell home internet services that are entirely unregulated by the government. The wireless radiation from the antennas, which has been proven without doubt to be harmful to people, plants, and animals, will add another layer of radiation in our neighborhoods—in addition to the many new radiating 5G antennas being installed all around Tucson.
We strongly urge Tucson homeowners to become educated about the potential for great harm to us humans and nature posed by the rapidly increasing wireless radiation in our neighborhoods. We urge you to learn about the biological and health effects of electromagnetic fields. Take precaution by not inviting companies that operate under FCC’s new OTARD rules into our communities. Being A Good Neighbor
As noted by Dariusz Leszczynski, 5G is testing the limits of trust. [viii]
We can look again to the inspiration of Mr. Rogers, of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. “The media shows the tiniest percentage of what people do. There are millions and millions of people doing wonderful things all over the world, and they’re generally not the ones being touted in the news.” “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'” “Listening is where love begins: listening to ourselves and then to our neighbors.” “I hope you’re proud of yourself for the times you’ve said ‘yes,’ when all it meant was extra work for you and was seemingly helpful only to somebody else.”
Because the next antenna might be the one that ends up on the roof next door to you.
