Mitra – A natural and organic traditional medicine is under threat from a government agency. A herb with similar properties to coffee and jasmine is on the verge of being scheduled a class ‘A’ drug the same as heroin, cocaine or ice amphetamines.
The scheduling of Mitra will only benefit multi billion dollar pharmaceutical corporation to earn more money and push their drugs. ………………..
Mitra leaves have been used safely for centuries, they have played an important role in Sumatras colonial past. Referred to as Teh Doun Kopi, herbal blends where drank by indigenous workers to assist with the required work load. Then coffee, tobacco and spices growing in Sumatras fertile soils where sort after around the world.
This is in stark contrast to today, where non sustainable palm oil plantations dominate the landscape. Deliberately lit fires wipe out whole regions of native flora and fauna during the annual slash and burn season.
Your help is needed to stop corruption of the highest level.
Spread the word of Mitra! Share our video to stand up for your right to use herbal and traditional medicine. Help us make the first step of a long journey, for a sustainable Sumatra.
